Looking at the same old room setting or in this case, store vignettes, can get blase.... so I highly recommend a pot of ice French Roast and some "shake it" music to set the tone.

We painted the store in Ballerina White, but we painted this alcove with Farrow & Ball's Gray 17 for this setting. The iron frame was found in Normandy as was the footstool. The tables are Georgian and were picked up in England. The boudoir chair and sofa are by Lee.
I just received the Louis XVI style gilt arm chairs, petite table and torchieres. You may have seen others in my Gorgeous French post. I love these pieces.
Old meets new: The Hickory Chair Farm Settee snugged up to a Normandy farmhouse table and chairs Circa 1870.
These French Trophy lamps are just delicious.
The Welsh Cupboard circa 1790 is loaded with pewter plates from Exeter Hall dating 1831. I love the antique prints in the umber washed silver leaf frames.
A great Mariette Himes Gomez sofa by Hickory Chair in sea foam green and a floral print.
The Charles sofa by Hickory Chair.
What gorgeous items you have on this site! I found you through Cote de Texas and love some of your posts, especially about the chandeliers. I am a complete sucker for a gorgeous chandelier.
ReplyDeleteJulia - Thanks for the sweet comment....Joni is a superstar of a person & her blog sets the standards. And yes, good chandeliers can make your knees wobble!
ReplyDeleteThese images, gorgeous! The Louis XVI armchairs and the Oly zebra chairs demand a lot of attention, too! I wall color in the alcove, subtle but substantial, all in all a wonderful visual tour, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I love it all, but the chairs are my favorite. I wish I had some money...thanks for sharing.

By the way, thanks for visiting my blog a few days ago. I did the photo mosaic using online software - I just googled "photo mosaic" and I think the tool I used was from Big Huge Labs. Kind of annoying as you have to upload your pics, but it only took me about 10 minutes to make.
Take care, Terri x
Luv the new look! JC ......
