I found this pair of antique Tole Lamps yesterday - I love them! The green and yellow combination is absolutely stunning and I've never seen a pair that looked so refreshing. I just hope they don't sell too quick....this is the bad part of the business. Sometimes you want those great finds to hang around for a little while. The shades are fabulous too - they are handstiched silk.
I agree, they are really gorgeous and different. Yes, it would be nice to keep them around a while!

So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on the blog. Had to laugh at your comment about the computer and the cell phone. Some times I take a computer-free weekend and it is truly amazing how much time I have on my hands. Time to actually read. I joined a book club recently in an effort to actually (a) talk to real people i.e. in person, not online(!) and (b) actually get back into reading, which I always loved. It feels good to get back to that quieter, simpler place.
ReplyDeleteMy partner, when he moved in with me, didn't have a television. Now, I notice he is planted in front of it increasingly. Funny how we become so addicted to things that really make us miss a lot of life.
Oh well, we are pretty balanced, I suppose, relative to many.
Thanks for sharing your list of hired help!! It was fun to read yours. ; )

I agree...they are stunning! But I'll bet they don't last long enough for you to even use them in a different vignette! Thank you for sharing! You know I love your eye candy!
ReplyDeleteThey are stunning -- I love vintage lamps and tole lamps are among the tops.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty lamps! While I understand your desire to keep them around awhile, in this economy sell them when you can...who knows when the opportunity will come again.
